To help maintain high email deliverability, FreshLearn automatically detects invalid, blocked, unsubscribed, and inactive email addresses when you send email campaigns or sequences. This helps reduce bounce rates and ensures your emails reach valid recipients.

Create Your Email Campaign

  1. Navigate to Marketing.
  2. Select Email Campaigns.
  3. Open an existing campaign or create a new one.
  4. Choose an email template.
  5. Enter your subject line and email content.

Preview Your Email

Before sending your campaign, you can preview how it will appear to recipients.

  1. Click Send Test Email.
  2. Enter a recipient's email address.
  3. Review the email in your inbox.
  4. Click Next to continue.

Choose Your Audience

In the Filters section, you can target recipients based on different criteria, such as:

  • All members
  • Paid or unpaid members
  • Course or bundle enrollments
  • Tags
  • Amount spent
  • First name
  • Country

After selecting your audience:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Click Apply Filter.

Review Invalid or Blocked Email Addresses

After applying your filters, FreshLearn checks your contact list and identifies email addresses that won't receive your campaign.

These may include:

  • Hard bounced email addresses
  • Blocked email addresses
  • Invalid email addresses
  • Unsubscribed contacts

If any contacts are excluded, FreshLearn displays the number of affected recipients.

Click View All to review the complete list and decide whether to remove those contacts.

High Bounce Rate Protection

FreshLearn continuously monitors your email bounce rate.

If your previous campaigns have a bounce rate higher than 5%, your next campaign may be blocked from sending until the issue is resolved.

A warning message will appear at the top of the Email Campaigns page if your bounce rate exceeds the allowed limit.

Remove Hard Bounce Contacts

To clean your contact list:

  1. Navigate to Members.
  2. Click Add Filter.
  3. Select Tag.
  4. Choose the Hard Bounce tag.

You'll see all contacts whose email addresses have permanently bounced.

To remove them:

  1. Select the contacts.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Cleaning your contact list helps improve email deliverability and reduces the chances of future campaigns being blocked.

Try Sending Your Campaign Again

Once you've removed invalid contacts, return to your email campaign and send or schedule it again.

With a healthy contact list, your campaigns are more likely to be delivered successfully.

Conclusion

FreshLearn automatically helps protect your sender reputation by detecting hard bounces, blocked, invalid, and unsubscribed email addresses before sending campaigns. Regularly reviewing and cleaning your contact list ensures better deliverability and helps keep your email campaigns running smoothly.
