Advanced Player & Compliance Settings

This article explains how to set up the advanced features in the video player.

Compliance is important for creators whose courses are for continuous education credits or for important industries like security, health, etc.

We have different ways in which you can force the learners to finish the lesson without skipping or fast-forwarding the chapters in a course.

There are 2 types of compliance settings.

  • Drip Settings - A learner cannot move to another chapter unless they finish the current one completely.
  • Video Compliance -A leaner cannot fast forward the video in a chapter and finish it without actually watching it
  • There are options which you can enable here

Drip settings are explained in detail in this article.

Let’s go through the settings step by step now:

  • Navigate to Apps & Integrations. Go to Advanced Player Settings.
  • Click on Enable button, and you will see the video player settings.

General Settings:

  • These are the settings that help you with the video player's look and feel, i.e., the color of the play icon, the color of controls, and showing your logo on the video player.

Compliance Settings:

Here is where you have the option to show or hide the controls

  • Show Progress Bar: If disabled, the video player's progress bar will be hidden for the learners.
  • Show Forward Option: If disabled, the learner will not be able to fast forward the video.
  • Show Rewind Option: If disabled, the leaner will not be able to rewind the video
  • % Video View Mandatory: This makes the minimum % of the video to be played before the learner can mark the chapter as completed.
