A. Watch your character limits: An email subject line can’t exceed 60 characters without your message being chopped off abruptly. This will occur regardless of whether your audience reads the email on mobile or desktop. You get about nine words, so use them wisely!

B. Ask a question: An open-ended, head-scratcher of a question that really makes you ponder will drive the most open rates. People will want to get an answer, so they’ll eagerly click.
