Freshlearn’s Course AI feature helps learners get instant answers, lesson summaries, and contextual support directly inside their courses. Once enabled, the AI processes your course content — including videos, PDFs, and audio files — to provide a more interactive learning experience.
Enable Course AI in AI Studio
- Navigate to the AI Studio section in your Freshlearn dashboard.
- Click Enable Course AI.
Once selected, the AI will begin processing your course content, including:
- Videos
- PDFs
- Audio files
This allows the AI tutor to understand your course material and respond effectively to learner questions.
Important: Before enabling Course AI, make sure the Captions Agent is already enabled for the course.
- Click Enable Now to continue.
Customize the AI Tutor Widget
After enabling Course AI, you can fully customize the AI tutor widget to match your brand and learning experience.
You can customize:
- Widget name
- Welcome message
- Subtitle
- Widget color
- Widget position (left or right side of the screen)
Once you finish customizing the settings, click Enable Course to save and activate the AI tutor.
Enable Course AI for Specific Courses
To activate the AI tutor for selected courses:
- Click the designated Course AI icon.
- Select the courses where you want to enable the AI tutor.
- You can enable AI for up to five courses at a time.
- Click Enable Course AI to confirm.
The AI tutor will now be activated for the selected courses.
Enable the AI Tutor Inside a Course
To make the AI tutor available to learners inside a course:
- Go to Products → Courses.
- Open the course you want to configure.
- Enable the Course AI option.
- Click Enable for Members.
Your Course AI tutor is now live for learners.
You can also click Preview to test how the AI responds to learner questions before publishing it.
Experience the AI Tutor as a Learner
To see the AI tutor in action:
- Open the Member Portal.
- Log in as a student.
- Open a course where the AI tutor is enabled.
You’ll see the Course AI widget displayed on the right side of the screen.
Learners can:
- Ask questions directly
- Choose suggested prompts
- Request lesson summaries
For example, learners can ask:
- “Summarize this lesson”
- “How do I create assignments?”
The AI tutor will analyze the relevant lesson content and provide detailed responses instantly.
